Morituri has been trading at the same address in Claremont for 16 years. Although it has changed hands over the years, the Morituri promise of offering “the best pizza in town” (just ask Gordon Ramsey) has remained true.
During the last two years, we have made some subtle changes to the menu; the long-standing regulars are still ordering the pizza’s and salads but our newer friends have taken to the steaks, veal and fish.

Morituri is casual and warm with a vibrant energy that is conducive to enjoying a thoroughly pleasant evening out. The service at Morituri is genuine and enthusiastic without being pretentious or too intrusive.

Although many in Cape Town believe we make the definitive wood-fired, thin-based “gourmet” pizza we won’t make that claim – we’d rather leave it to you to decide for yourself....
